Staff training & sensory bags for 22 locations

The City of Austin is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide staff training and sensory bags for 22 locations, including the Austin Public Library. The contractor will be responsible for providing 150 fully customizable sensory bags, continuous staff training, and certification for the library to be a Sensory Inclusive Destination. The sensory bags will include items such as noise-reducing headphones, fidget tools, and weighted lap pads. The contractor will also provide marketing and implementation support, including signage, digital and print promotional materials, and a mobile app to help people with sensory sensitivities locate and prepare for visits to certified sensory-inclusive venues. • The contractor must have experience working with the neurodivergent community and providing training and sensory kits to public libraries and similar settings. • The contractor must be able to provide continuous staff training and customer support. • The contractor must be able to provide certification for the library to be a Sensory Inclusive Destination. • The contractor must be able to provide a mobile app to help people with sensory sensitivities locate and prepare for visits to certified sensory-inclusive venues.
