Description
The California Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified contractor to provide on‑call hazardous‑waste disposal, recycling, and related consulting services for its facilities in Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties. The work includes collection, transport, proper handling, and disposal of various hazardous waste streams, provision of required permits and certifications, and detailed reporting.
• Core services: pickup, transport, disposal/recycling of hazardous, biological, and regulated waste; provision of dual‑rated containers and portable scales.
• Geographic scope: all Caltrans District 01 maintenance facilities across the four northern California counties.
• Contractor must hold a full suite of state and federal licenses (Motor Carrier Permit, Class A General Engineering, HAZ certification, DOT/PHMSA hazardous material registration, etc.) and maintain required insurance.
