Description
New Mexico Department of Health’s Office of General Counsel is seeking qualified law firms or individual attorneys to serve as outside counsel for civil litigation, case management, risk analysis, and strategic advice over a four‑year period. The contractor must be licensed in New Mexico, obtain a “Special Assistant Attorney General” designation, and provide a full suite of legal services—including drafting pleadings, managing case files, delivering initial and quarterly risk analyses, and preparing litigation risk analyses prior to mediations or trials. Billing must follow strict hourly‑rate and time‑keeping rules, with limits on daily hours and non‑reimbursable activities. The award will be based on the lowest responsive cost after technical evaluation.
