Program Instructor Application - December 2025

The City of Avondale Parks, Recreation, and Libraries Department is seeking instructors to provide recreational programs for the community. The Department is looking for qualified individuals to teach a variety of classes, workshops, and programs. Instructors will be responsible for planning, organizing, and teaching their assigned classes, as well as providing customer service and responding to participant feedback. The City will provide marketing and registration services, and instructors will be paid 70% of the revenue generated by their programs. • The City has three “seasons” each calendar year: Winter/Spring, Summer, and Fall/Winter • Instructors must be at least 18 years old and have previous experience in conducting programs • Instructors must provide proof of insurance and undergo a background check • The City reserves the right to cancel a program if there is insufficient participant registration • Instructors are responsible for taking attendance and providing evaluations of their programs
