Sitka Wastewater Treatment Plant Effluent Disinfection System Determination of Categorical Exclusion

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has issued a categorical exclusion for the design of an effluent disinfection system at the existing Sitka Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is funded through a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan request of $1,000,000. Because the action will not significantly affect treatment capacity, cultural resources, endangered species habitats, or the human environment, it is exempt from further environmental review.
