Description

The City of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified construction contractor to eliminate five existing pump stations (Barrington Hills, Barrington Hills BLK., Gil Volz, Kildare Crossings, and Kirkridge Acres) and replace them with an all‑gravity sanitary sewer system. The scope includes approximately 9,667 linear feet of 8‑ to 18‑inch gravity pipe, an additional downstream gravity sewer, and removal of a bottleneck in the collection system along First Street in Addyston. Work will be performed in Addyston, Miami Township, and Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and best responsive bidder and will require electronic submission through the City’s Vendor Self Service portal, a 10 % bid bond (minimum $500), proof of workers’ compensation, and required insurance. The project is funded through the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) and must meet DBE participation goals and prevailing‑wage requirements. • Eliminate five pump stations and install new gravity sewer (≈9,667 ft). • Additional downstream gravity sewer and bottleneck removal on First Street. • Location: Addyston, Miami Township, Green Township, Hamilton County, OH. • Electronic bid only; submission deadline Oct 15, 2026, 12 PM EST. • Bid bond ≥10 % of bid (minimum $500) and required insurance. • WPCLF funding with 5.4 % DBE goal; Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage compliance. • No pre‑bid meeting; questions due Oct 8, 2026.

Budget estimate

$2,000,000 – $3,500,000

The solicitation does not disclose a contract value. Based on typical costs for gravity sewer construction ($150‑$250 per linear foot) and additional demolition of pump stations, a reasonable estimate ranges from roughly $2 million to $3.5 million.
