The replacement sidearm will be a striker-fired, polymer-framed handgun chambered in 9mm parabellum, with specific requirements such as a 4.5-inch barrel length, a flat face trigger shoe with trigger tab safety, and a precision fit, removable flared magwell. The handgun will also come with an enclosed emitter red dot sight (RDS) with specific features. The selected vendor will provide a limited lifetime warranty on the firearm and bring a complimentary armorers course to the Bismarck Police Department for 15 armorers.
