Load Testing

The United States Air Force is seeking sources to provide annual proof testing (load test) services for critical C-5 Galaxy engine handling and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) hoisting equipment. The successful contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, test beds, materials, non-destructive inspection (NDI) capabilities, and facilities necessary to perform the testing. The testing will be performed on specific items, including Bootstrap Beam Assembly, Bootstrap Beam Hoists, and APU Lifting Hoist. The contractor will be required to perform structural and mechanical proof load testing, conduct post-test inspections, and provide official certification tags/documentation for each piece of equipment that passes the load test. The key requirements of this opportunity include: • Performing annual load/proof testing on specific aerospace hoisting equipment • Providing all necessary labor, equipment, and facilities for the testing • Conducting post-test inspections, including non-destructive inspections • Providing official certification tags/documentation for each piece of equipment that passes the load test • The ability to perform testing on-site at Westover ARB or at an off-site, certified testing facility
