The State of South Carolina is seeking a qualified security‑services firm to provide continuous, on‑site security officer coverage for the South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind (SCSDB). The contract requires 24‑hour staffing, officer licensing under SC law, background checks, training, uniform and equipment provision, and compliance with extensive insurance and bonding requirements. The award will be a fixed‑price, five‑year contract (one‑year base plus four optional one‑year renewals). • Provide at least one licensed security officer on‑site at all times, with additional staff to cover vacations, sick leave, and holidays. • Officers must hold valid SLED security cards, meet education and background standards, and undergo required training (first‑aid, CPR, fire‑communication, etc.). • Contractor must supply uniforms, duty gear, maintain officer training records, develop a Security Officer’s Manual, and carry required insurance (CGL, auto, workers’ comp, employee dishonesty bond). • Submit an hourly rate; total potential value calculated as hourly rate × 3,196 hrs/yr × 5 years.
