NP RFP- Alabama Supercomputer Member Hub Transport, Member Hub Failover Transport, WAN Transport Services

The Alabama Supercomputer Authority (ASA) is seeking qualified vendors to provide dedicated, symmetric, high‑performance transport services for its Member Hubs and associated WAN sites across the state. The work includes primary transport circuits, fail‑over circuits, and WAN connectivity that must meet <30 ms latency, 99.95 % availability, and be fully installed and provisioned before contract start dates. Vendors will submit detailed pricing in a prescribed workbook; all prices are locked for the contract term. ASA will manage routing and fail‑over logic; the vendor’s responsibility is the physical transport layer. • Provide dedicated point‑to‑point transport (fiber, lit Ethernet, or dark‑fiber) from each Member Hub to the AREN Service Platform. • Deliver independent fail‑over paths for each hub with identical performance requirements. • Supply WAN transport for individual school/library sites to their hub or directly to an AREN node. • Meet strict SLA metrics (latency <30 ms, availability ≥99.95 %) with monthly service‑credit penalties. • Submit per‑site pricing (MRC/NRC) in the Cost Proposal Workbook; pricing is fixed for the 3‑year base term (July 1 2026 – June 30 2029).
