FY26 SDMO REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING BATTERIES AT WSR

The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) is seeking qualified contractors to replace existing batteries at the WSR (Western Service Region) facilities, specifically the RPTR & OA, SUH, and WL substations under Engineering Order 14398. The work likely involves removal of aging battery units, proper disposal, installation of new battery systems, testing, and commissioning to ensure reliable power supply for critical infrastructure. Contractors must demonstrate experience with high‑voltage battery systems, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and the ability to coordinate with WAPA’s operations team. • Replace batteries at multiple substations (RPTR & OA, SUH, WL) • Follow Engineering Order 14398 requirements • Provide all labor, materials, disposal, testing, and documentation • Must have relevant NAICS (Electrical Contractors – 238210) experience • Work to be performed within FY26 timeframe (exact schedule TBD)
