Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso is seeking a qualified firm to perform a complete shutdown, decontamination, and certification of its ABSL‑3 (Biosafety Level 3) laboratory suite and associated equipment. The work includes bag‑in/bag‑out HEPA filter replacement for three HEPA bank filters and three pre‑filters, certification of 44 Class II biosafety cabinets (including four located within the BSL‑3 suite), certification of a Techniplast ISO rack, and certification of 12 animal‑transfer stations plus one bedding‑dump station. The contractor must provide detailed decontamination procedures, verify decontamination with biological indicators, handle waste disposal, and submit final reports and certification documentation. Additional responsibilities include attending a pre‑proposal conference, optional site walkthrough, and submitting a VETHUB subcontracting plan and signed W‑9. • Shutdown and secure the ABSL‑3 suite, then perform gas/vapor decontamination of the space and drains. • Replace HEPA filters (3 bank filters and 3 pre‑filters) using bag‑in/bag‑out method and certify all biosafety cabinets and animal‑transfer stations. • Deliver comprehensive documentation: decontamination validation, calibration sheets, equipment certification reports, and turnover paperwork. • Provide annual filter‑replacement cost estimates and comply with Texas‑state procurement, insurance, and safety requirements.
