THP Body Armor

The Tennessee Department of Homeland Security is seeking bids for body armor. The scope of this solicitation includes the provision of Safariland body armor that meets the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard 0101.06 Ballistic Resistance of Personal Body Armor for Type IIIA classification. The armor must be manufactured by the Safariland Group, and respondents must provide documentation showing they are an authorized dealer for Safariland in the State of Tennessee. Some key features and specifications of the required body armor include: • Soft armor research and development • Hard armor research and development • Ballistic, stab, and fragmentation testing • Non-destructive and destructive testing • Carrier research and development • Domestic soft and hard armor manufacturing facilities • Domestic and international carrier manufacturing facilities The solicitation includes various models of body armor, such as the V1-SIDE-PKT / V1-FRNT-PKT, BA-2000S-SX02, and SN106C Type IV Stand Alone Plate.
