Solid Waste Hauling & Transportation Services

Seminole County is seeking a qualified contractor to provide on‑demand solid‑waste hauling and transportation services from the County’s Central Transfer Station to designated recycling facilities and the Osceola Road Landfill. The contract may be awarded for one or both equipment schedules (county‑supplied trailers with contractor‑provided tractors, or contractor‑supplied tractors and trailers) and for any combination of three material lots (recyclables, municipal solid waste, yard waste). Services must be available 6:30 am‑6:30 pm, Monday‑Saturday, with emergency coverage possible on Sundays and holidays. Contractors must maintain at least two tractors, respond to haul requests within 48 hours, and comply with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. • Origin point: Seminole County Central Transfer Station (Longwood, FL) • Destination 1: County‑designated Materials Recovery Facility (40‑110 mi round‑trip, approx. 80 mi) – recyclable materials (≈20,000 tons/yr) • Destination 2: Osceola Road Landfill (≈38 mi round‑trip) – MSW and yard waste, on‑demand loads • Equipment options: (A) County‑provided aluminum walking‑floor trailers with contractor‑provided semi‑tractors, or (B) contractor‑provided tractors + trailers meeting specified dimensions • Required fleet: minimum two tractor‑trailer units, 48‑hour response time, 80,000 lb GVW limit, driver CDL, insurance, tolls, fuel, etc. • Reporting: daily driver logs, weekly tonnage reports, monthly invoicing by lot/route. • Bid submission: electronic only via ProcureNow portal by 2:00 pm, Sept 16 2026; questions due by 5:00 pm, Sept 7 2026.
