Description

The U.S. Department of War (DoW) is seeking information to identify and assess critical applications for the DoW and defense industrial base that necessitate the use of existing chemicals undergoing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) section 6 risk evaluation process. The DoW wants to better understand the applications that require the use of TSCA high priority chemicals and the criticality of those chemicals for industry and defense supply chains. • The DoW is interested in 10 TSCA high priority chemicals listed in Table 1. • The DoW wants to understand the current applications and conditions of use (COUs) of these chemicals. • The DoW is seeking information on the criticality of these chemicals for the DoW and the defense industrial base. • The DoW wants to know about the availability of alternatives for these chemicals. • The DoW is interested in understanding the supply chain for these chemicals, including manufacturing, purchasing, and importing.
