Description

The City of Santa Fe Youth and Family Services Division, in collaboration with the Children and Youth Commission (CYC), is seeking proposals for the Children and Youth Commission Fund. The commission aims to enhance community services, expand equitable access, and foster sustainable growth in program effectiveness by allocating funding to support local community programs that promote the healthy development of children and youth, ages birth to twenty-one. The identified funding priorities include Education and Career Readiness, Youth Physical and Mental Health and Well-Being, and Support Services for Youth at Higher Risk. Offerors must be nonprofit organizations with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or have a fiscal agent that meets these requirements. The contract terms will begin on July 1, 2026, or upon approval of the City Manager/City’s Governing Body and Mayor signature, whichever occurs later, and end on June 30, 2029. Funding is reimbursement-based, and the funding award amounts for the grant year will be capped at $100,000 per year or $300,000 for the total over three years. Some key points to consider: • The proposal should include a brief overview of the proposed project, its purpose, goals, objectives, and services. • The proposal should describe how the proposed program aligns with the selected funding category/goal areas and/or the social determinants of health. • The proposal should provide an expected timeframe for program implementation for year one. • The proposal should describe how the proposed program will fulfill essential needs in the community and the at-risk individuals/population it will impact. • The proposal should describe relevant agency experience and staff capacity to implement the proposed program/project. • The proposal should describe any data collection in place or specific plans for data collection to measure the potential project/program success. • The proposal should highlight meaningful collaborations with other organizations and the specific roles and responsibilities each partner has to support the agency or the work of the proposed program.
