Security Services for the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department

The City of Seattle Parks and Recreation Department is seeking security services, including unlocking/locking gates and comfort stations, mobile security patrols, and overnight security for special events. The contract will be for five years, with one two-year extension allowed. Vendors must submit pricing for all unarmed security services, and may choose to submit pricing for armed security services. The City intends to award multiple contracts to a pool of eligible vendors. Some key aspects of the job include: • Providing security services at various parks and facilities across the City of Seattle • Unlocking and locking gates and comfort stations • Conducting mobile security patrols • Providing overnight security for special events • Coordinating with the SPR Security Manager to ensure appropriate staffing • Maintaining accurate records of all security activities and providing reports as requested • Ensuring all personnel meet minimum qualifications, including three years of continuous experience in security guard and patrol services, and successful performance of at least one contract with an agency of similar size to the City of Seattle.
