WSH and Nursing Facility Laundry and Linen Service

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive laundry and linen services for Western State Hospital (WSH) and the Western State Nursing Facility (WSNF). The contract establishes a master agreement for the supply, pickup, cleaning, and delivery of a full range of linens and related equipment, along with reporting and emergency‑service requirements. • Service scope includes provision of carts, laundry bags, stands, liners, and the pickup/delivery of soiled and clean items three times per week (Mon, Wed, Fri). • Items covered: fitted and flat sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, bibs, blankets, gowns (standard and IV), geriatric pads, and associated accessories. • Quantity estimates: roughly 14,000‑15,000 items per week across both facilities. • Vendor must furnish all equipment, maintain carts (sanitized, non‑marking casters), and keep a seven‑day supply on‑site. • Monthly management reports on linen utilization, loss, and cost are required, plus a culture report from an independent lab. • Contract term: 1‑year initial period with up to four optional two‑year renewals. • Payment: monthly invoicing; invoices submitted to [email protected]. • Evaluation: Best‑value ranking (95% price, 5% experience). • Mandatory compliance with Kentucky state regulations, CMS, TJC, and federal accessibility standards.
