Description

The City of Surprise is seeking sealed bids from vendors to provide fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other soil additives on an as-needed basis for use on athletic fields, park settings, and other grounds. The awarded contractor shall provide and deliver the specified products within the timeframes provided by the City after receipt of a purchase order. Many of these items are brand-specific, and no alternatives will be accepted. The City is seeking to award multiple landscape chemical contracts to maintain the city's parks, sports fields, and other open space areas. The contracts will be utilized primarily by the Parks & Recreation Department, the Sports & Tourism Department, and Water Resource Management on a year-round basis. Some of the key products required include fertilizers, pesticides, soil amendments, turf colorants, and grass seed. • Fertilizers: The City requires various fertilizers, including iron, calcium lignosulfonate, and other soil amendments. • Pesticides: The City requires various pesticides, including hydramethylnon, bifenthrin, and other insecticides. • Soil Amendments: The City requires various soil amendments, including silica, wax, or alumina, and other products. • Turf Colorants: The City requires various turf colorants, including proprietary colorant blends and pigments. • Grass Seed: The City requires various grass seeds, including perennial rye and bermuda grass seed. The City reserves the right to award by individual line item, by group of line items, or as a total, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the City.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this contract is difficult to estimate, as the City will be purchasing various products on an as-needed basis. However, considering the City's requirements for fertilizers, pesticides, and other soil additives, the total contract value could range from $100,000 to $500,000 per year, depending on the quantities purchased and the prices offered by the successful bidder. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the prices of the products, the quantities required, and the duration of the contract.
