Ross and Mary Whipple Family Forest Education Center – Request for Qualifications

The University of Arkansas Fayetteville is seeking qualified architectural firms to develop the Ross and Mary Whipple Family Forest Education Center. The scope includes conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents for a new educational facility set within a forest environment. The selected firm will collaborate with university planners, environmental specialists, and construction teams to deliver a sustainable, accessible, and functional learning space that supports forest education programs. • Design a forest‑based education center that integrates indoor learning spaces with outdoor teaching areas. • Provide full architectural services from concept through construction documents, including coordination with civil, structural, and MEP engineers. • Ensure compliance with university standards, ADA accessibility, and sustainable design guidelines (LEED or equivalent). • Coordinate with university stakeholders and oversee the design phase to meet the June 16, 2026 submission deadline. • Deliver a complete set of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the construction phase.
