The Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center is seeking adjustable patient care beds that meet or exceed certain technical requirements. The beds must have mechanical controls for adjusting the head, foot, and height of the bed, as well as adjustments to the mattress firmness. The beds must also have a remote control for patient use, a gel-infused memory foam top layer, and a capacity of 1,000 lbs. The mattress must have a width of no more than 55 inches and a length of no more than 77 inches. The patient care bed must have a height of no more than 13 inches and include a wipe-down cover for infection control and a head-to-foot warranty of 3 years.
