RFP for CR 50 and TH 61 Final Design

The Washington County Public Works Department is seeking a consultant to provide final design engineering services for the County Road (CR) 50 & Trunk Highway (TH) 61 Intersection Improvement Project. The project involves realigning County Road 19A to support the southwest arterial highway vision while implementing long-term solutions along the corridor. The selected consultant will be responsible for completing all tasks necessary to take the project to approved construction documents, including project management, data collection, public and agency engagement, design services, construction plans and specifications, project costs, permits and approvals, environmental documentation, and bidding and construction assistance services. The consultant will also be required to provide deliverables such as final cost participation layouts, draft and final plans, signed final plans and specifications, and electronic design files. • The project is funded by local, federal, and state funds. • The project involves coordination with multiple agencies, including the City of Forest Lake, MnDOT, and the Watershed District. • The consultant will be required to develop a quality management plan and provide monthly progress reports. • The consultant will be responsible for identifying and obtaining all necessary permits and approvals. • The consultant will be required to provide construction staging and detour planning services. • The consultant will be responsible for coordinating with utility owners and identifying potential conflicts.
