City of Stone Mountain / RFQ/RFP Audit Services

The City of Stone Mountain is seeking a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to provide independent audit services for a four-year contract. The selected auditor will be responsible for conducting financial and compliance audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and the Official Code of Georgia Annotated. The auditor will also be required to provide a set of released Financial Statements with a signed Independent Auditor's Report. Some key responsibilities include: • Conducting financial and compliance audits • Providing a set of released Financial Statements with a signed Independent Auditor's Report • Ensuring full compliance with Government Auditing Standards and the Official Code of Georgia Annotated • Providing a written management letter to communicate violations of provisions of contracts or grant agreements • Applying certain limited procedures to the Required Supplementary Information The City is looking for a firm with experience in providing municipal audit services, including expertise in state and federal regulations, GASB standards, and Georgia local government compliance laws. The selected firm will be required to submit a technical proposal, including a firm profile, governmental auditing expertise, and a work plan with milestones.
