Noxious Weeds Spraying project on Fort Pierre National Grassland

The USDA Forest Service is seeking a contractor to perform noxious weed spraying on the Fort Pierre National Grassland in South Dakota. The project involves spraying approximately 3,000 acres of prescribed burning areas to reduce the threat of wildfire. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to complete the project. The project is expected to start on September 1, 2025, and be completed by August 31, 2026. • The contractor will be required to spray noxious weeds, including thistles and absinth wormwood, using a spot treatment application method. • The contractor will be required to provide a technical proposal, including a technical capability statement and past performances. • The contractor will be required to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the handling, storing, and disposal of herbicides. • The contractor will be required to provide spatial data and application records to the COR within two weeks of treatment completion.
