The U.S. Army is seeking solutions for a Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP) prototype. The CAML system is a multi-domain fires system that provides a mobile, autonomous, or optionally crewed launcher that far exceeds current capabilities. The system consists of an Autonomous Mobility Platform (AMP), a Leader Vehicle Autonomy Kit, and a complete autonomy software suite for command and control (C2). The AMP is a common, optionally crewed, autonomous vehicle platform designed to autonomously load and download Unique Munition Pallets (UMPs) and transport, fire, and reload multiple munition payloads. The Leader Vehicle Autonomy Kit is a modular kit that integrates onto both autonomous and non-autonomous vehicles, serving as the C2 node to synchronize multiple CAML systems during convoys, fire missions, and rapid emplacement or displacement activities.
• The CAML system enforces MOSA standards to secure full USG ownership of critical system data.
• The system is designed to operate autonomously as a follower or lead, commanding other CAML AMPs within its formation.
• The AMP vendor is responsible for the overall design, fabrication, production, integration, and delivery of the mechanical, electrical, and logical command interfaces.
• The autonomy software suite communicates directly with UMP launcher electronics to control stow, deploy, and initiate firing operations.
• The system supports convoy, waypoint, teleoperation, and manual driving modes, augmented by advanced obstacle detection and avoidance (ODOA) systems.
