MRF Container Sorting Line Equipment at Polk County Recycling Center

The County of Polk is seeking proposals to furnish and install equipment for a MRF container sorting line at the Polk County Recycling Center. The sorting line should be able to handle inbound material that is mixed with plastic bottles, glass jars, aluminum and tin cans, along with the ability to sort out unwanted material. The expected throughput capacity is an average of 3 tons per day and an estimate of 1,000 lbs per hour. The system will need to operate on a single shift 8-10 hour day and 4 days per week. • The proposal should include equipment pricing specifications, a comprehensive training program, and a list of spare parts. • The vendor should provide a detailed construction drawing submittal, including title and project information drawings, equipment and access drawings, and structural drawings. • The vendor should also provide operation and maintenance manuals, including equipment function, normal operating characteristics, and maintenance instructions. • The system should be designed to withstand loads from gravity, seismic, vibratory, and structural movement, and should be able to operate in a single shift 8-10 hour day and 4 days per week.
