Description
The New Mexico State University (NMSU) is seeking a qualified architectural/engineering design team (and associated Construction Manager‑at‑Risk) to deliver the Integrated Digital Enterprise Accelerator Lab (IDEAL) – a multidisciplinary research facility featuring a grid‑connected micro‑grid, solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, cleanroom, high‑bay testing space, and AI/ML server room. The effort follows a fast‑track, phased delivery method with a mandatory site visit on 27 Aug 2026, a sealed bid deadline of 17 Sep 2026, and a target award on 22 Sep 2026. Evaluation will be based on technical competence, capacity, past performance, local proximity, New Mexico work content, and prior NMSU work, with additional preference points for resident‑business and veteran‑business status. The project must achieve at least LEED Silver certification and meet a hard final‑completion date of 15 Jun 2028.
• Provide full‑service A‑E design (programming, schematic, design development, construction documents) for a ~15,000‑18,000 sf research lab, including cleanroom (ISO 6‑7), high‑bay, server room, and EV‑charging infrastructure.
• Coordinate early contractor involvement (CMAR) to develop cost estimates, GMP at ~100 % design development, and phased procurement.
• Deliver all drawings/specifications in native digital format and PDF, incorporate sustainability (LEED Silver) and advanced electrical systems (micro‑grid, DC/AC ring‑bus up to 1 MW each).
• Meet mandatory schedule milestones: site visit 27 Aug 2026, question deadline 3 Sep 2026, addendum deadline 10 Sep 2026, proposal deadline 17 Sep 2026, award 22 Sep 2026, final construction completion 15 Jun 2028.
