North Main Revitalization Plan RFP

The Town of Rocky Mount, Virginia is seeking an architectural/engineering firm to provide comprehensive professional services for the North Main Corridor Business District Revitalization Project. The scope includes design, engineering, bidding assistance, and construction administration for façade upgrades, streetscape improvements, wayfinding, mural coordination, and related infrastructure work. The effort is funded partially by a $801,533 Community Development Block Grant, with additional local sources covering the remaining costs. The selected multidisciplinary firm will collaborate closely with town officials, planning commissions, VDOT, property owners, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. • Provide architectural and engineering design for façade, streetscape, and pedestrian safety enhancements. • Conduct bidding support and construction administration services. • Coordinate wayfinding signage, industrial heritage mural, and overall corridor infrastructure integration. • Work collaboratively with the Town, West Piedmont Planning District Commission, DHCD, VDOT, and property owners. • Deliver all services within the solicitation timeframe, with the final submission deadline of July 31, 2026.
