Appliance Recycling Program RFP

Efficiency Vermont is seeking proposals from professionals or organizations for an Appliance Recycling Program. The program aims to remove and recycle working appliances from Vermont electric ratepayers, reducing energy use and lessening power demand on the electric grid. The contractor will be responsible for scheduling and executing appliance pickups, testing, recycling, and maintaining records. The proposal should include a narrative outlining the approach to the scope of work, a bid summary table, and other required documents. • The contractor will provide an online sign-up portal and toll-free phone number for customer enrollment and questions. • The contractor will provide trained, knowledgeable customer service staff to respond to customer inquiries and determine customer eligibility. • The contractor will schedule in-home or curbside appliance removal with choice of dates to provide customer flexibility. • The contractor will ensure customer has a clear understanding of program requirements. • The contractor will remind and confirm pickup with customer a day in advance and notify customer of extreme pickup delays or if appliance is unable to be picked up on scheduled day.
