Infectious Waste Incineration and Disposal Services

Oregon State University is seeking a sole‑source contract with Stericycle to provide comprehensive infectious waste incineration and disposal services. The vendor must operate a permitted hospital/medical/infectious waste incineration (HMIWI) facility capable of high‑temperature thermal destruction, and must handle compliant transportation, documentation, and final disposal of all hazardous waste streams generated by OSU in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rule 333‑056. The contract will be awarded to the single qualified provider and includes an appeal process for any determination disputes. • Provide access to a HMIWI facility capable of high‑temperature thermal destruction of infectious waste. • Manage compliant transportation, tracking, and documentation of all waste streams. • Ensure final disposal meets Oregon’s hazardous waste regulations (OAR 333‑056). • Serve as the sole provider for all OSU infectious waste throughout the contract term. • Include provisions for appeals and adherence to OSU procurement standards.
