The State of Maine Department of Education is seeking a contractor to provide court reporting and transcription services for special education due process hearings. The contractor will be responsible for providing a court reporter/stenographer who is experienced in reporting and transcribing court trials or other comparable experience, and is capable of translating, editing, and producing technically accurate transcripts consistent with established standards of accuracy. The contractor will also be responsible for providing transcripts in a timely manner. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2030. • The contractor must have experience in court reporting and transcription services. • The contractor must be able to provide a court reporter/stenographer who is knowledgeable of court practices and procedures. • The contractor must be able to provide transcripts in a timely manner. • The contractor must be able to provide services at a competitive price.
