Architect Services for Historic Sites Preservation Conditions Assessment

The City of Independence, Missouri is seeking architect services for historic sites preservation conditions assessment. The goal is to utilize a qualifications-based selection process to hire an architect to conduct condition assessments and prepare maintenance and capital repairs and improvements plans for the Bingham-Waggoner Estate and the Vaile Victorian Mansion. The selected architect must have experience with similar projects and must be able to demonstrate that they have been in business for at least two years under the current business name. • The architect will be responsible for conducting condition assessments and preparing a report outlining a long-range maintenance plan including capital projects. • The plans must list and prioritize maintenance needs and outline proposed costs for repairs and restoration needs. • The architect must have experience with historic sites preservation and must be able to demonstrate their qualifications for the project.
