District Wide: Alarm Monitoring, Maintenance, and Repair Services

The Chicago Park District has awarded a contract to Active Alarm Company, Inc. for alarm monitoring, maintenance, and repair services. The contract is for a term of two years, with two optional one-year extension periods. The contractor will provide monitoring, maintenance, and repair services for over 300 alarm systems at various Park District facilities. The contract includes provisions for insurance, indemnification, and termination. The total amount paid to the contractor for services provided in 2010 shall not exceed $150,000. • The scope of work includes monitoring, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems and equipment. • The contractor will provide routine maintenance, repair, and inspection of alarm systems on a quarterly basis. • The contractor will respond to emergency calls within one hour and complete non-emergency service calls within 24 hours. • The contractor will provide reports, including monthly inspection reports and inventory reports. • The contractor will maintain an access code list and provide it to the Park District upon request.
