FUSE LINK INSPECTIONS

This contract provides semi‑annual inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire‑extinguishing fuse‑link systems across multiple food‑service locations at Stephen F. Austin State University. The work includes replacement of fuse links, nozzles, seals, caps, and hydro‑static testing, all performed in compliance with NFPA 96 Chapter 11.2. The selected vendor, APS FireCo. Tyler, will service main‑campus kitchens, a mobile food‑truck, and outlying campus facilities, with the possibility of a one‑year renewal. • Scope: Semi‑annual inspections of fuse‑link fire suppression systems (Ansul, Range‑Guard, PyroChem) across >30 locations. • Technical requirements: NFPA 96 compliance, hydro‑static testing, component replacement, detailed record‑keeping. • Timeline: Contract runs 12/15/2023 – 12/14/2024; bids due 12/12/2023, work primarily in Dec‑Jan each year.
