Description
This solicitation seeks a qualified prime contractor to design, supply, install, test, and commission a comprehensive two‑wire irrigation system for the Wilmington Golf Course. The work includes extensive HDPE and PVC pipe installation, sprinkler and valve installation, central computer‑based control system integration, trenching, directional boring, site restoration, permitting, and a multi‑year warranty on materials and workmanship. The contract is a single‑prime, low‑bid award with a mandatory 14 % minority‑business subcontracting goal and strict bonding, insurance, and performance‑bond requirements.
• Supply and install HDPE pipe (up to 70,000 lf of 2‑in., plus larger‑diameter sections) and PVC downstream of electric valves.
• Install 791 sprinklers, swing joints, valves, control hardware, a PC‑based controller, and a 2‑wire communication network covering up to 100 stations.
• Complete project within 120 calendar days after a Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for overruns.
