Description
This contract awards the State of California’s Employment Development Department the provision of on‑site confidential document destruction (mobile shredding) services for all EDD facilities in the Northern California region. The selected vendor, Viking Shred, LLC, will supply all labor, equipment, trucks, power, and consumables at no extra charge, shredding documents in locked 64‑gallon bins to NAID standards and providing a Certificate of Destruction after each visit. Service frequency, locations, and schedules are defined in Exhibit A‑2 and may be adjusted by mutual agreement. The contract runs from August 1 2026 through June 30 2029, with invoicing on a per‑bin‑tip basis and strict security, background‑check, and insurance requirements.
• On‑site mobile shredding at ~60 EDD sites, weekly‑to‑quarterly visits as dictated by each site’s schedule.
• Billing per “bin tip” (shredded bin), with mandatory Certificates of Destruction and monthly invoicing.
• Contractor must meet NAID shredding standards, maintain extensive background‑check compliance for all personnel handling Federal Tax Information, and hold $1 M minimum insurance across several coverages.
