What Is a Bid Details Page?

After you find an opportunity that looks interesting in your search results, you can open a Bid Details page to review key information and decide whether to pursue it.

On the Details page, you can:

  1. Review top-level key summary requirements and deadlines extracted by our advanced document analysis.
  2. Save the opportunity to Favorites via the Banana Icon.
  3. View a high-level summary of the solicitation in the Description section.
  4. Access any original RFP documents as document links in the Attached Files section and/or through the issuing agency’s site via the Link to Source button.
  5. Request help responding to the opportunity.
💡 Tip: If a secondary login is required by the issuer to view the Link to Source's original documents of solicitation, then we'll indicate that on the Bid Details page with a Lock Icon at the bottom left corner.

Where to Find Bid Details

  1. From your search results, locate an opportunity you want to review.
  2. Click the Details button in the result card.
  3. You will be taken to the Bid Details page for that specific opportunity.

Understanding the Bid Summary

At the top of a Bid Details page, you will see a summary section. This section includes key, at-a-glance fast facts to help you quickly determine whether the opportunity is a potential fit, whether your company is compatible, and whether you have enough time and resources to submit a proposal.

These include:

  • Issuing agency: The entity that is publishing the solicitation and the agency's location
  • Industry: The primary industry classification and NAICS number of the requested services
  • Key dates: Important deadlines, contract duration and any question submission or pre-bid meeting dates
  • Solicitation Type: The ID and type of solicitation

Saving an Opportunity to Favorites

If you want to track the opportunity or return to it later, favorite the result by clicking the Banana Icon in the top-right corner. This will save it to the Favorites tab.

💡 Tip: From the Favorites tab, you can organize opportunities by status or priority, monitor multiple deadlines and quickly revisit any favorite opportunities from one page.

Accessing Original RFP Documents

In addition to the summary, you may need the full, original documentation to prepare your response. Often, Bid Banana will link those source files directly in the Attached Files section. If we're unable to source direct links to the files, we'll direct you to check out the Link to Bid Source button at the bottom of the page. The Link to Bid Source button is your direct connection to the official source material.

  1. On the Bid Details page, locate and click the Link to Bid Source button.
  2. You will be redirected to the issuing agency’s official website or procurement portal.
  3. From there, download any available solicitation documents, official addenda, and any required forms and attachments.

Even if we're able to provide Attached Files, it's still never a bad idea to visit the issuing agency's solicitation. Use the original documents to:

  • Confirm all requirements and instructions
  • Verify final deadlines and submission methods
  • Ensure your proposal is complete and compliant
