Bidding on public and private sector contracts can often feel overwhelming, stressful, and time-consuming. Bid Banana is designed to simplify this process. Here's how to navigate Bid Banana to find what you need and start making the most of our platform's core features.
Using the Navigation Bar
Use the green navigation bar at the top of Bid Banana's pages to access all of the platform's core tools, features and resources. You can search for new opportunities, manage your saved bids, and connect with an RFP expert—all from one place. Tabs include Search, Favorites, Flex Services, and Blog.
Using the Search Tab
The Search tab is where you will likely spend most of your time. Use it to quickly navigate Bid Banana's database of relevant opportunities.
When starting from the Search tab, you'll have three main search options:
- Open Bid Search: Browse active RFPs collected daily from thousands of local, state, and federal sources.
- Closed Bid Search: Identify organizations that previously needed the solutions your business provides. Use this for market research and prospecting.
- Awarded Contracts Search: Research previously awarded contracts to understand buying patterns, pricing, and potential targets for future opportunities.
Taking a Guided Tour of the Search Process
The first time you click on the Search tab, you will automatically be prompted to take our Guided Tour.
This tour will introduce you to the Search tab, take you through the search results page, and end with the bid details page. You can restart the tour anytime by selecting Restart Tour in the dropdown menu under your account icon.
Using the Favorites Tab
Once you start finding interesting opportunities and relevant data, you need a place to organize them. Use the Favorites tab to save, manage and review the search results you want to track.
💡Tip: To save a favorite search result, click the Banana Icon in the top right-hand corner of the result card.
Using the Flex Services Tab
Finding the right bid is only half the battle. If you need help preparing a proposal response, click the Flex Services tab.
