The State of California Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a qualified contractor to perform curb and pavement repairs at El Capitan State Beach. The work includes full‑depth asphalt removal and replacement, mill‑and‑overlay, hot‑mix fill, demolition and replacement of concrete sewer‑access lids, a Type II slurry seal, and comprehensive pavement marking. The contract is a fixed‑price public‑works IFB with a 60‑day performance window and strict DVBE and small‑business participation requirements.
• Full‑depth removal & replacement of ≈ 744 sq ft of asphalt and an additional 1,976 sq ft alternate if funded.
• Mill & overlay of ≈ 23,275 sq ft plus Type II slurry seal of ≈ 82,752 sq ft (plus alternates).
• Paint center‑line, stop markings, ADA parking, cross‑walks, and other traffic markings.
• Mandatory pre‑bid site visit on March 23, 2026; DVBE participation minimum 6 % with incentive for >6 %; 5 % small‑business price preference (capped at $50k).
