Demolition and Removal Services

The Florida Department of Transportation is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide demolition and removal services for structures, improvements, and debris from FDOT lands and state-controlled areas adjacent to the right of way of state and federal highways. The contract will be for a term of 36 months, with an option for renewal. The contractor will be required to provide services on an as-needed basis, with a "Letter of Authorization" issued for each project. The contractor must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the type of business being requested and must meet certain minimum qualifications. The contract will be awarded based on low bid, with a sample project used to determine the total bid. • The services to be provided include demolition and removal of residential and commercial structures, signs, light and utility poles, and other miscellaneous items. • The contractor must provide a written statement detailing their qualifications and experience. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to nondiscrimination, labor, and environmental protection. • The contractor must provide a performance bond in the amount of $30,000.00. • The contractor must have liability insurance with a minimum limit of $200,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence. • The contractor must comply with the Buy America provisions and the Clean Air Act. • The contractor must report any violations of the Clean Air Act to the Department and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
