The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a quote for a portable ultrasound imaging machine. The machine must be capable of operating in B Mode, M-Mode, Color Doppler, Color Power Doppler (CPD), Pulsed Wave, and Continuous Wave modes. It must support transducers with linear, phased, and curved array formats and include a full array of measurement and calculation packages. The machine should have a stand dimensions of maximum 44 inches x 25.4 inches and a minimum of 2 inches, and a height of maximum 98 inches and a minimum of 13 inches. The system shall withstand a drop from a height of 3 meters and be safe and function normally after the drop. The contractor must provide a five-year standard warranty on the system, stand head, and transducers, and a one-year standard warranty on the battery, stand, and accessories.
• The machine should have B-Mode controls, including depth, gain, time gain compensation, auto gain, and 2D mode.
• The machine should support imaging frame rates up to 100Hz and have 8x live read zoom capability.
• The machine should have auto steep needle profiling available on certain transducers and exams.
• The machine should have M-Mode controls, including depth, gain, time gain compensation, and auto gain.
• The machine should have color modes, including color velocity Doppler, color power Doppler, and color variance.
• The machine should have spectral Doppler imaging with pulsed wave, tissue Doppler imaging, and continuous wave modes.
• The machine should have a user interface with a projected capacitive touch screen and physical buttons for TGC, gain wheel, auto gain, depth, select, update, touchpad, annotations, calculations, image save, clip save, freeze, color, M-Mode, Doppler, and 2D.
• The machine should have onboard education, including how-to videos, tutorial categories, and scan-along educational tutorials.
