6515--Zeiss Pentero 800 S Microscope INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to procure a Zeiss Pentero 800 S Spine Comfort Package Microscope and required accessories for the C.W. Bill Young Veterans Medical Center. The current microscope has reached end of life and is causing safety issues. The new microscope will have 60% more magnification and 50% higher resolution, enabling surgeons to manipulate vessels smaller than 0.5mm with clarity. The scope of work includes the procurement of one PENTERO 800 S Spine Comfort Package Microscope and required accessories. * The microscope must be a Zeiss Pentero 800 S or equal. * The microscope must have submillimeter resolution, fluorescence capabilities, hybrid visualization, and ergonomic enhancements. * The procurement is for the C.W.
