RFQ Design Engineering Services - Essex Upper Main St. Municipal Complex

The Town of Essex is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide design engineering services for the Essex Upper Main Street Municipal Complex. The selected firm will be responsible for completing all tasks associated with the design and permitting of bid-ready engineered drawings for all components of public infrastructure. The project includes the design of roadway, pedestrian, and utility infrastructure, as well as stormwater collection and treatment, sewer, water, lighting, landscaping, signage, transportation improvements, emergency access, and other design details. The firm will also be expected to participate in public outreach efforts and provide project presentation materials and displays. The project is expected to take approximately 18-24 months to complete, with a final deadline of June 30, 2028. • The firm will be responsible for performing a LiDAR topographic survey and detailed topographic survey for the project area. • The firm will be responsible for identifying and pursuing necessary local, state, and federal permits. • The firm will be responsible for completing archaeological and soil investigations and wetlands delineation for the project area. • The firm will be responsible for performing a traffic study for the anticipated future buildout of the entire Master Plan. • The firm will be responsible for completing conceptual, preliminary, final, and contract-ready drafts of all engineering drawings and specifications.
