Asbestos/Lead Abatement Misc Projects

The University of New Mexico is seeking up to five qualified contractors to enter into an indefinite‑quantity price agreement for asbestos, lead‑paint, and mold abatement and remediation services on UNM facilities. The agreement will allow awardees to market the price schedule to other New Mexico public entities under state procurement law. Respondents must meet strict staffing, certification, insurance, and compliance requirements and submit detailed technical and cost proposals. • Core services: site inspections, containment construction, removal/encapsulation of asbestos‑containing materials, lead‑paint removal, mold remediation, waste disposal, and comprehensive documentation. • Mandatory qualifications: minimum three consecutive years of abatement work under the same firm, full‑time certified staff, written compliance programs (air monitoring, hazard communication, medical surveillance, respiratory protection, waste handling). • Contract structure: Indefinite‑quantity price agreement with up to five awardees; no subcontracting allowed except for approved laboratory services; pricing must be guaranteed for each renewal period. • Evaluation: 100‑point best‑value scoring across experience, staff qualifications, expertise, responsiveness, and cost; preference points available for NM resident‑business or veteran‑owned firms.
