Sign Language Interpreting Services

The State of Wyoming is seeking a contractor to provide sign language interpreting services statewide. The contractor will be responsible for providing on-demand and prescheduled access to sign language interpretation services throughout Wyoming, to citizens requesting these services, helping them access essential governmental support. The contractor must have certification in the area of expertise and as required by various entities. The contractor will provide month invoicing to include: the interpreter's name, demographics of the person receiving services, the city where services were provided, the specific nature of the services provided, if services were provided in-person or virtually, the amount of time services were provided in thirty (30) minute increments, and any other reimbursable items. Some key points to note are: * Interpreters are responsible for compliance with the standards of neutrality and confidentiality and compliance with ADA communication standards. * Interpreters shall not give legal advice, express personal opinions to individuals for whom they are interpreting, or engage in any activities which may be construed to constitute a service other than interpreting while serving as an interpreter. * The contractor shall promote the availability of services statewide and conduct community outreach to ensure deaf, hard of hearing, and blind citizens are aware of the service and know how to request it.
