Contractor Prequalification Application Fiscal Year 2026-2027

The City of Palm Desert is inviting contractors to apply for prequalification to participate in certain construction projects for the fiscal year 2026-2027. The prequalification application is only for construction projects or maintenance work that is subject to prevailing wage. To apply, contractors must complete and submit the prequalification application and be deemed qualified by the City based on established criteria. The City will solicit quotes from prequalified vendors for projects up to $75,000 and will use an informal bidding process for projects over $75,000 and up to $250,000. Some key aspects of the prequalification application include: • Providing proof of a valid and current California Contractors' license • Providing proof of insurance, including general liability, workers' compensation, and automobile liability • Providing information on the company's annual revenue and bonding capacity • Responding to supplemental questions regarding the company's experience and qualifications • Selecting the trade categories for which the contractor requests prequalification • Certifying compliance with the City's nondiscrimination policy
