Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive water treatment and maintenance services for VA facilities, including chemical feed management, cooling‑tower equipment upkeep, and replacement of proprietary controllers. The solicitation has been amended to add a site visit, a question‑submission deadline, and an extension of the quote due date. The contract will run for an initial two‑year period with an option for extension, and the contractor will be responsible for all equipment acquisition, installation, and ongoing monthly testing and reporting. • Scope includes monthly chemical testing, equipment inspections, and replacement of tubing, fittings, and injection quills as needed. • Contractor must furnish all required equipment, including any new cooling‑tower controller if the VA does not purchase it separately. • Labor standards per FAR 52.222‑41 and wage determination 25210 apply. • All costs for acquisition, replacement, and installation of equipment are borne by the contractor. • Monthly performance reports must be submitted to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). • The award will be a non‑BPA, two‑year contract with a possible option for extension.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $1,500,000

Based on typical federal water‑treatment contracts for a large VA campus, the annual spend for chemicals, labor, equipment replacement, and reporting can range from $250,000 to $750,000 per year. Over the two‑year base period, the total contract value is therefore estimated between $500,000 and $1,500,000, depending on equipment wear rates and any required controller upgrade.
