School Based Outpatient Mental Health Services

The Little Rock School District (LRSD) is seeking qualified organizations to provide outpatient mental health services to selected schools. The successful providers will work to meet students' needs while ensuring seamless transitions between the service and the classroom. The services should be based on the principles of keeping students in their classrooms, being proactive and positive, and being well-integrated into the school setting. The providers should evidence strong alliances and experience in collaborating with schools. The services must follow the mandate to be least intrusive, least restrictive, and responsive to the individual needs of the child within the school setting. • The provider shall provide evidence of minimum qualifications, including being a currently licensed psychiatric outpatient clinic facility located in central Arkansas. • The provider shall provide outpatient psychiatric services, including psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, and individual, group, and family therapy. • The provider shall have the capacity and commitment to provide outpatient mental health services in the LRSD for children and adolescents under the federal Medicaid program. • The provider shall request reimbursement directly from the federal program or private insurance if available, with no cost to the LRSD.
