Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order to Illinois University for the analysis of levels of sterols and oxysterols in serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples of individuals enrolled in a study for the treatment of Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome (SLOS). The work involves generating a specific and accurate methodology to identify and measure sterols and oxysterols, and then analyzing the levels of each specific sterol and oxysterol in the serum and CSF of SLOS individuals and how they change with vitamin E treatment compared to controls. • The purchase order will include all travel, labor, materials, and related charges. • The work will be performed by Dr. Stephanie Cologna of the University of Chicago, who is an expert in mass spectrometry. • The NIH is looking for a service between NICHD, NIH and the University of Chicago (Dr. Cologna). • Small businesses may submit a written capability statement to demonstrate their ability to perform the requirement.
