Design Services for 9th & Indian Street Reconstruction

The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a consultant to provide design services for the reconstruction of 9th Street and Indian Street. The project includes improvements to underground storm drainage, water and sewer utilities, retaining walls, road base, pavement, sidewalk/stairways, lighting, and other miscellaneous improvements. The consultant will be responsible for preparing complete bid-ready construction drawings, specifications, bid schedule, and engineer's estimate with critical material lead times. The project requires substantial public outreach during the design phase to accommodate the significant variety of users and constituents to this area. • The consultant shall provide all professional engineering services necessary to prepare complete bid-ready construction drawings, specifications, bid schedule, and engineer's estimate with critical material lead times. • The consultant shall conduct at least two design workshops in coordination with the CBJ Engineering Department Project Manager. • The consultant shall work with the CBJ Project Manager to develop conceptual and final project designs which respond to the estimated construction budget. • The consultant shall ensure that the design remains in conformity with the estimated construction budget.
